Top Ten Tuesday: So Far This Year!

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by: The Broke and the Bookish.
This week's topic: Top Ten Books I've Read So Far This Year

I've read some great books already this year so this was a tricky one!

Vain by Fisher Amelie.
Nantucket Red by Leila Howland~ Great follow up!
Fragile Line by Brooklyn Skye.
Rome by Jay Crownover~ Love this series, this one won over Nash for the dramatic climax!
The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen~ Unique addition to the New Adult genre.

The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski~ Such unique ad intriguing world building!
What's Left of Me by Kat Zhang.
Once We Were by Kat Zhang~ Great middle book!
Slowly We Trust by Chelsea M. Cameron~ I love the Fall and Rise series and this was a another great book.
So Much to Learn by Jessie L. Star~ Technically a reread but it's just been published so I had to download it and read it 'properly'.

What are your favourite books this year?
Much Love!

Friday Favourites: September

My top five Bookish things from September! This month was hard to pick five because I read a more diverse selection of books.

First Impression
Among the Nameless Stars by Diana Peterfreund.
I downloaded Among the Nameless Stars to see if I should buy For the Darkness Shows Stars and I barely got a chapter in before I put in an order for it! The world building and characterisation pulled me in.

Plot
All Our Yesterdays by Cristina Terrill.
I loved the all the twists and suspense in All Our Yesterdays. I'm not normally a fan of time travel but I really enjoyed how it was explained and incorporated in the book.

Character
Celaena Sardothien from Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas.
I didn't think I could love Celaena anymore but she really grew in Crown of Midnight and so much more was revealed of her background!

Guy
Enzo from Riptides by Steph Campbell and Liz Reinhardt.
Enzo really broke my heart in Riptides! I loved his laidback nature and how funny he was, looking forward to more of him.

Genre
Dystopia with a twist!
All Our Yesterdays and Among the Nameless Stars are both irregular dystopia books. I'm not entirely sure All Our Yesterdays is definitely dystopia but it has a lot of elements! I liked that the plots were full of twists and surprises and felt very unique!

What were some of your September favourites?
Much Love!

Friday Favourites: August!

Hopefully I am on my way back to the Internet as you read this!
My last holiday post is my five favourites from August!

Setting
Silver Strand~ Ties by Steph Campbell and Liz Reinhardt.
Such a beautiful setting with a sense of community and fun characters! I love going back to this place for each book!
Character
Celaena Sardothien~ Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.
I knew I'd like her but I completely love her after reading Throne of Glass! I love her courage, realism and determination.
Side Character
Chaol Westfall and Dorian Havilliard~ Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.
I couldn't chose between them! They really add to the rich storyline of Throne of Glass. I love them both.
Reread
Faking It by Cora Carmack.
I definitely prefer Cade and Max to Bliss and Garrick. I really enjoyed rereading their story!
Genre
Fantasy.
Throne of Glass reignited by old love of fantasy!

What were your August favourites?
Much Love!

Best of 2012!

2012 has been a phenomenal reading year for me!
After three years of hard work and partying I regained time for reading- I've read 50 books since June!
So my last post of 2012 is a quick round up of my 2012 favourites! I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year!

Favourite Debut
I picked this one up with nothing to go by and I loved it!

Favourite Start of Series
Divergent perfectly set the scene and the action for the rest of the series- just need to read Insurgent!

Favourite Standalone
Morgan Matson is a firm summer time must read for me! I loved all the emotions and memories in this one!

Unexpected Favourite
I got this one free when I preordered Sophie Kinsella's latest book- I loved it! Very rarely does a free book surpass the one you paid for!

Favourite All Around
Dash and Lily had everything! Humour, sweet moments, stupid moments and action!

Favourite Latecomer
One of my last books of the year and one of my favourite! I'll be reviewing it next year!

The One I Should of Read Earlier!
Everyone's been raving about The Hunger Games for ages and I eventually picked it up in June this year- should have picked it up earlier!

Favourite End of Series
I was so happy to finally finish Ruby's story- I've loved her neurotic ways since 2006!

Favourite Sequel
I loved If I Stay but Where She Went had a little more resolution and perspective! Brilliant sequel!

Favourite 'Indie' Author
A random download led me to Abbi Glines! My favourite Indie author of 2012 because her books encouraged me to try other indie authors!

Favourite Author
This one was hard! Veronica Rossi wrote a beautifully crafted world, a wonderful prequel and is very interactive! I'm already scouring my local bookshops for a freak early release!

Favourite Genre

Before The Hunger Games I'd had no real interest in Dystopia but now I love it! I love all the different interpretations of the world, the intriguing mysteries and the characters. Not a fan of some of the love triangles but you can't love it all!

What were your favourites of 2012?
Happy New Year!
Much Love!
