Monday Round Up!

One of my favourite memes hosted by the lovely Shelia over at Book Journey!

Busy week again!- full of goodbyes, graduation fun and food festivals!
Another quick upload as it's my Mum's birthday!

Reviews Posted
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson- Finally read this one had to review it straight away!
Love of the Party by Lauren Barnholdt- Another of my readathon reads :)

Read!

Both of these were quick addictive reads!
I knew I'd love Second Chance Summer and The Selection really lived up to it's gorgeous cover.

Reading

I was all for waiting until August for this one and taking part in The Pushing The Limits Read-Along ... but then I discovered NetGallery.

I requested Pushing the Limits thinking as it is so popular I wouldn't get approved- I did!
I am loving it so far even though I have to read it off my phone screen.... Couldn't get it sent to my desktop kindle.
The most annoying thing is how it has no chapter separations as I use those to stop reading I find myself reading for ages and getting momentarily confused when the viewpoint switches!

To Be Read

I don't know! I'm trying to hold back some books such as Delirium, Glow and Across the Universe for the  Summer Wrap-Up Readathon and with half my books still in boxes I'm limited in choice... Maybe I'll go request some books on Netgallery instead!

  1. That cover for Pushing the Limits is so different than the "new" (?) one. I've heard good things about that one, and I can't wait to read it. My students love realistic fiction...I know that book will be a winner in my class!

    1. I would really recommend it- it is such a good fun read! I think it's suffered from the Hunger Games/reality comparision because it is so much more!

I put them to one side then accidentally read then- Selection was supposed to be kept!

      Thanks for stopping by!
Looking forward to the Summer read a thon :)

I'm so sorry! It was actually much harder to rewrite than to write in the first place!

  5. ooo, It's good to hear good things about The Selection. I've been debating whether or not to buy it for my library's collection. I first heard about Second Chance Summer this week. I don't know why I hadn't heard of it sooner! That's the author who did Amy and Roger's Epic Detour, right? That book is popular at my library.

    1. I think Selection suffers from the reality show and Hunger Games comparisions- it is so much more than that!
I think it would be a good buy for a library as a lot of people seem to not want to commit to the book by buying it :)
Yes! Morgan Matson is my new favourite contemp author both books are such great reads :)

  6. Ah! It must be a trend. You are now the 3rd blog that mentioned a bunch of books I haven't read and/or haven't heard of. Goodreads is busy this evening.
